Clemson, SC – After their season ended abruptly last year against Tennessee in the Regional Finals, Clemson Baseball hopes to rebound this year to make it further into the NCAA Tournament. Coming off a stellar season with a 44-19 overall record, the reigning ACC Champs have plenty of motivation heading into their first game.
Clemson hosts Xavier at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, on February 16, 2024 @ 4 pm to open the season. Last year’s ACC Freshman of the Year, Cam Cannarella, OF, who had a .560 BA in 2023, hopes to lead the Tigers to victory against a tough Musketeer team.
Last year was a hard pill to swallow for the Tigers and their fans, losing to Tennessee in 14 innings, to be eliminated from Tournament play. Well, this is a new year, with hopefully a National Title to hold up at
the end of the year. As of right now, I think it’s best to take it, one game at a time.
Hard work, focus, and dedication will push Clemson strides throughout this upcoming season. With nearly 50% of the starters coming back, there will be plenty of veteran leadership on the team, to show the new guys the ropes.
