Clemson Baseball is Back!
Blake Wright shines as the long balls were part of his 4-hit day who matched a career-high in that department and finished with 3 RBIs. Freshman catcher Jacob Jarrell, in his first career start, had a two-run homer finishing an 11-3 win over Binghamton at Doug Kingsmore Stadium to open the season.
“Just a complete game and a great tone-setter not just for the weekend but for the season and for the way we want Clemson baseball to look and feel,” Bakich said afterward.
“We’re on the attack,” said Wright, who swiped a team-high three bags. “We’re going to take bases, and we’re going do anything we can do get in scoring position to score runs.”
That’s what I’m talking about!
“It’s awesome to be back playing and a great feeling to get the win,” Wright said.
One Game. One Win. A perfect start! Clemson will go on to try to win the series win Saturday, February 18th, at 2 pm. If you are in the area, go support your Tigers.
