Clemson, SC – There can be a lot to take away from the game on Saturday, February 4, 2024, and a lot to look forward to as March Madness nears. Clemson Men’s Basketball fought hard against the visiting Virginia Cavaliers but fell one (1) point shy of OT, and two from securing their second win in a row. Clemson went stride for stride with one of the top 3, in the ACC, as they have a harder task Tuesday, February 6, 2024, when they head to Chapel Hill, to face #3 North Carolina.
P.J. Hall matches his season average in points with 19, in Clemson’s efforts to knock off the Cavaliers. J. Girard III, aided with 14 points, while Ian Schieffelin’s physicality in the paint rewards him with nine (9) boards, one shy of scoring his 6th double-double this season, to go along with 13 points.
Head Coach Brad Brownell has to be proud of his guys coming out of this game. Though there are some things to work on, there is hope for the Clemson Tigers. Smarter shots and time management could be a savior down the stretch. Clemson has the talent to compete for a National Title, but it’ll come down to, how badly they really want it. And, how much work are you willing to put into making a run, this part of the year? The most important things are clutch shots and smart passing, heading into March.
