Clemson, SC – Clemson, Clemson, Clemson! Two weeks, two top-tier ACC schools, two wins for Clemson
Men’s Basketball. After their win over #3 UNC last week, Clemson takes home another victory this weekend in back-to-back games, taking care of business on the road against a tough Syracuse Orange team. One thing fans were worried about, was this a trap game for Clemson after the big win at Chapel Hill? I’d say, not so much. After their 9 point win over Syracuse on, Saturday, February 10, this team seems to be picking up momentum going into their match-up against Miami, on Valentine’s Day.
Clemson shot 61% from the field, shooting an impressive 43% from deep. Joseph Girard eclipses 2,000
career points and drops 18 points against his former school, leading the Tigers to their second win in a row. Despite 21 turnovers caused by Syracuse, it wasn’t enough to keep Clemson out of this game. The Tigers roll to a 77-68 victory over the Orange.
The Tigers owned the Defensive glass, bagging 34 boards. That is the kind of aggressiveness that drives
the Championship mentality. There is still a lot of work to do over the next few weeks, and with the kind of focus and drive that Clemson has played with over their last two games, would be safe to say they are heating up at the right time.
As they are vying for a spot in the Big Dance, Clemson must keep up their winning ways when they host
Miami on, February 14 @ 7 pm at Littlejohn Coliseum.
