In an epic showdown at Foley Field on Tuesday night, the No. 17 Georgia Bulldogs outlasted the No. 4 Clemson Tigers in a thrilling 15-inning battle, securing a hard-fought 4-3 victory. This marathon clash lasted an astounding five hours and 30 minutes, showcasing the determination and endurance of both teams. With this impressive win, the Bulldogs improved their season record to 30-10, while the Tigers’ record dropped to 32-8.
The Bulldogs’ offensive prowess was on full display throughout the game, as they capitalized on key opportunities to secure the win. They opened the scoring with an unearned run in the second inning, courtesy of Paul Toetz’s two-out single. In the third inning, Blake Wright extended his hitting streak to an impressive 10 games with a clutch two-out, two-run triple. The Bulldogs continued to build their lead when Cannarella led off the fourth inning with his seventh homer of the year.
