Clemson vs. Notre Dame November 4, 2023

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers will host the #12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Death Valley on Saturday, November 4 at 12:00 pm. At the beginning of the season, the Tiger Faithful surely didn’t expect to be going into the game at 4-4, but this game will surely be one to behold.

The Tigers and the Irish have met face to face on the field seven times previously with Clemson holding a 4-3 record over Notre Dame. Clemson’s most recent loss in this matchup came in the 2022 season. Even
with the Tigers record this season, the Irish still consider them to be one of the toughest opponents they have yet to face.

Clemson’s offense is led by Cade Klubnik, who is thus far at 64% (188 for 294), 13 passing touchdowns, 5 interceptions, and 16 sacks. The Tigers’ leading running back Will Shipley is currently still in concussion protocol and Swinney says that it is a “day by day” decision on whether he will appear in Saturday’s meeting between the two teams.

For the Irish, Sam Hartman boasted 18 for 25 in last week’s game against Pittsburgh at 18 for 25 with 288 passing yards, no touchdowns, and 2 interceptions. Their defense will surely be key to a victory against the Tigers given the inconsistencies in their offense.

This will be a tough fought win, but in the end, my prediction is the Tigers come out on top by a narrow margin. The spirit and the fire on the sidelines that’s been missing for some time is sure to be visible to Tiger Nation for this exciting game.
