After a rocky 4-2 start for the Tigers, can Dabo and his team take down Mario Cristobal and the Hurricanes? Coach Swinney became the most winningest coach in Clemson history after a close battle against Wake Forest two weeks ago. With a 17-12 victory, many thought it wasn’t deserved. What people may not remember is that Wake Forest has been a close game for us for many years, so it was bound to have some tension. After a BYE week last week for the Tigers, we can only hope they will be all ready to go for this Saturday!
Miami is coming off of a disappointing loss to UNC, as they just missed the Tar Heels in a 31-41 loss. It’s safe to say they’ll be looking for vengeance, and who better to get it on than one of the top teams of the decade? There’s no doubt that Cristobal has made some adjustments at Miami, as the team is playing better, and recruits are making commitments, but where they fall short is not being Dabo. Coach Swinney has received an enormous amount of hate the past two seasons, and he recently told media “We’re at a point where if you don’t go undefeated, then we’re terrible… and that is just such a terrible mindset.” This statement is very true. Tiger fans have made Dabo seem like the Grinch simply for having a couple of losses on the board. Things haven’t been as pretty as our College Football Playoff/ National Championship run, but to say things are ugly is false.
