Clemson Softball gears up to play Liberty today for their final mid-season game of the year
The Lady Tigers travel to Lynchburg today to face off against Liberty at 5 pm. After moving to No. 6 in the rankings earlier this week, can the Tigers secure another win tonight?
The Clemson Softball team is looking to break 300 RBIs tonight, while also striving to secure their 19th shutout of the season! The Tigers hold a .325 batting average and a slugging percentage of .549 led by none other than Valerie Cagle! Outscoring opponents 315-68 this season, we expect another phenomenal performance for our Lady Tigers tonight.
The Yorktown two-way player Valerie Cagle has continued to spark the ACC this season, leaving a mark both in the circle and in the batter’s box. She’s batting a .483 average while leading the team in hits(69). After breaking a school record this season with the program’s first-ever perfect game, will the USA Softball Top 25 Finalist lead her team to another victory tonight?
The Liberty Flames, led by head coach Dot Richardson, have a team average of .268 this season led by Liberty sophomore KK Madrey.
