Clemson vs. NC State

TIGERS WIN and Advance to The Semi-Finals!

This game was a massive domination that should punch a ticket to The Big Dance. PJ Hall and Ian Schieffelin led the Tigers both with 15 points. Leading the charge and momentum toward a 9:30 showdown tomorrow night against Virginia.

Clemson has won 5 out of 7 of their last games and won those games by an average of 27 points beating a really good NC State team tonight. And most definitely in dominant fashion. If this isn’t a sure bet for an invite to the Big Dance then I don’t know what is! We are in! “It’s March Madness Baby” in my best Dick Vitale voice. It’s where magic can happen and history is made. But let’s not get too far ahead of ourselves. We’ve got a game tomorrow and it’s against BIG BAD VIRGINIA. We’ve got a chance if we play like we did tonight!

The Tigers (23-9) swept the Wolfpack (23-10) in the regular season and sealed the deal with a 3rd victory this season against the Wolfpack tonight by a margin of 80-54. After trailing 20-11 in the first half, Clemson went on a 13-0 run leading 39-36 at the half. Then after halftime, they came out running with a 20-4 run and never looked back …

Big man DJ Burn of NC State had 12 points and struggled with foul trouble throughout the game. And it didn’t help the Wolfpack because with 12 turnovers in the 2nd half, it was fueling Clemson’s 20-4 run.

Ironically NC State played their best game of the season Wednesday night in a 97-77 win over Virginia Tech snapping a 2 game losing streak, but the Tiger’s Defense was too much tonight for the Wolfpack holding them to 54 points.

NC State solidified a ticket into The NCAA Tournament on Wednesday night with a win over the Hokies and is seeking their 1st trip since 2018. Clemson solidified its ticket tonight making it their 14th appearance in Clemson history and first since 2021.
